First stage (2006\u20132010)<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1,764 communities and neighbourhoods.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">153 districts in 13 regions of Peru: San Mart\u00edn, Ucayali, Hu\u00e1nuco, Ayacucho, Pasco, Cusco, Jun\u00edn, Huancavelica, Apur\u00edmac, Lima, Ica, La Libertad and \u00c1ncash.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Awareness raising and organisation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Families commit to becoming \u2018healthy families\u2019 and build their vision for change.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">At the community level, Community Neighbourhood Councils (JVC) are strengthened and a shared vision for development is defined.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">2. Planning<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Families conduct a self-assessment of their environment and health practices, and define commitments and rules for coexistence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The community draws up its communal diagnosis, the healthy practices monitoring form and its communal plan, prioritising simple and achievable actions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">3. Execution<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Supporting families in implementing their commitments to change.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Educational sessions, information campaigns, and technical assistance to the JVCs to implement the community plan, strengthening social cohesion.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">4. Self-assessment and local management<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Families review their progress and new challenges.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The community evaluates achievements and challenges, reinforcing the role of the JVC.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">We work with local governments to integrate this information into their management (Concerted Development Plans and Participatory Budgeting), using the SISMUNI system, which organises community-based information.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The methodology includes a toolkit for families, communities, and municipalities (guides, vision boards, assessments, plans, and communication materials such as radio spots and posters).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image data-end=\"424\">1,900 rural communities<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"428\" data-end=\"452\">13 regions of Peru<\/strong>, improving health, community organisation and local management.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"567\"><strong data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"565\">Girls and boys with a better start in life<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"568\" data-end=\"1004\">\n<li data-start=\"568\" data-end=\"634\">\n<p data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"634\">Birth certificates for children under 2 years of age: from <strong data-start=\"618\" data-end=\"631\">69% to 84%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"699\">\n<p data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"699\">Children aged 0 to 23 months with national identity cards: from <strong data-start=\"679\"
